As part of our commitment to advancing women's health, Absci recently announced key design details for our planned Phase 2 STORYLINE™ clinical trial evaluating ABS-201, an AI-designed therapeutic with the potential to offer a novel, non-sex-hormonal approach to treating endometriosis. An estimated 190 million women and girls worldwide live with endometriosis, a painful condition in which endometriotic lesions grow outside the uterus. Many people with this condition face diagnostic delays, access gaps, and limited treatment options. Current FDA-approved medical treatments are sex-hormone therapies that affect estrogen, and surgical lesion removal has recurrence rates nearing 50% within five years. ABS-201 is an antibody targeting the prolactin receptor that has the potential to offer durable relief for endometriosis-associated pain (EAP).
